Airport transfers
Pearson Airport to Downtown Toronto
What is the easiest way to get from Toronto airport to downtown?
A car booked before you land, with the driver watching your flight. Our sedan is a flat $85 to any downtown address, plus 13% HST. If you are alone and travelling light, the UP Express train is cheaper. The drive takes 25 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
The arrival run
Wheels down to hotel lobby, one flat number
This is the last 30 kilometres of a long trip, and it should be the easiest part. Hotels in the Financial District, the Entertainment District, and along the waterfront are all the same flat $85 by sedan. Most of these bookings are business travel, so the trip also works in reverse: the same rate covers a limo to Pearson Airport from your hotel when the meetings wrap. No meter runs in either direction.
Flat rates
Downtown Toronto flat rates by vehicle
Every rate below is flat, confirmed before you travel, with HST added on top. A limo from Pearson Airport into the core costs the same as the ride back out. See the full 112-city rate card.
| Vehicle class | Capacity | Flat rate |
|---|---|---|
| Executive sedan | Seats 3 | $85 |
| Premium SUV | Seats 7 | $110 |
| Sprinter van | Seats 14 | $475 |
| Stretch limo | Up to 12 passengers | $595 |
Matching the vehicle to the trip
- Executive sedan (seats 3): The default for solo and paired business travel. A laptop bag, two suitcases, and quiet.
- Premium SUV (seats 7): Delegations and families pick this one. Everyone and everything rides in one vehicle.
- Sprinter van (seats 14): Conference teams land together and should arrive at the hotel together.
- Stretch limo (up to 12 passengers): Occasionally the arrival is the event. It happens more than you would think.
Know your options
Limo, train, taxi, or rideshare into the core
Every option below gets you downtown. They differ in what you pay, what you carry, and what you control.
| How you ride | How it prices | What the trip looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Flat-rate limo | $85 sedan, fixed at booking | Door to door. The chauffeur meets your flight and drives to the hotel entrance. |
| UP Express train | Per ticket | About 25 minutes to Union Station. From Union you still need the last stretch to your hotel. |
| Airport taxi | Fixed fare by zone | Queue at the curb. Quick at quiet hours, slow when several flights land at once. |
| Rideshare app | Dynamic, moves with demand | Walk to the pickup area. The price you saw inside the terminal can surge before you reach it. |
After you land
Three steps between the gate and the Gardiner
Reserve before you board
Book online or call with your flight number and hotel address. The flat quote arrives in writing before you pay anything.
Land, collect bags, no clock running
The pickup is timed to the real landing. Waiting at the airport after you land is never billed, however long the bag carousel takes.
Walk out at Door A
Door A at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, either one. Add meet and greet for $45 if you want a name sign inside arrivals. The pickup desk is 416-231-0443.
The drive
The 30 kilometres between YYZ and your hotel
Distance: about 25 to 30 km. Drive time: typically 25 to 45 minutes.
The usual route follows Highway 427 to the Gardiner Expressway and into the core. For the east side, the 401 and the Don Valley Parkway work better. Weekday mornings between 7 and 9 are the slow window. The flat rate does not care. $85 is $85 in gridlock.
Companies flying people in regularly can put these trips on a corporate account with one monthly invoice instead of a stack of receipts.
Why book before you fly
What a booked car fixes that arrivals cannot
Red-eye landings stay simple
At 5 a.m. the terminal is quiet and so are the apps. Your car is scheduled, not summoned.
One clean line on the expense report
A flat $85 needs no explanation to finance. A surged fare does, and nobody enjoys writing it.
The group rides together
An SUV seats seven with luggage. Three separate rideshares seat the same people for three separate fares.
A committed driver, not a nearby one
The chauffeur is assigned to your name before you land. Nobody can decline the trip when they see the destination.

Questions
Questions arriving travellers ask us
How much is a taxi from Pearson Airport to downtown Toronto?
Airport taxis charge a fixed fare by destination zone, posted at the terminal, and downtown sits in one of the higher zones. Our sedan is a flat $85 plus HST, confirmed before you fly, and it seats three with luggage.
Is the UP Express cheaper than a limo to downtown?
For one rider with light luggage, yes. The train reaches Union Station in about 25 minutes and costs less than any car. From Union you still have the last stretch to your hotel. A flat $85 sedan is door to door and seats three, so small groups close most of the gap.
How long is the drive from Pearson Airport to downtown Toronto?
About 25 to 30 km, which takes 25 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Weekday mornings run slowest. Your chauffeur watches conditions and picks the better route on the day.
Do you pick up at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3?
Yes. Your chauffeur meets you at Door A of either terminal, and the airport pickup desk at 416-231-0443 can point you the right way. A prearranged pickup adds $13 for a sedan or SUV and $24 for a van or stretch limo.
